When the Covid Pandemic hit Cuba, the safe, purified water available at 38 Episcopal Churches and communities throughout Cuba became even more critical. At Fieles a Jesus in Matanzas, Revda. Tulia and her husband Osmani, created a unique solution to bring their water fountain to the street. With a series of pumps and hoses, Osmani sets up this “fountain of living water” on the street three mornings a week. There is a constant flow of people waiting for clean water and good conversation as Osmani stands by. Despite the dire economic conditions in Matanzas, many of the folks filling their water jugs make a small donation to express their gratitude and to help offset the cost of running the electric pumps that supply their clean, safe water.
