The truth that we are about to proclaim is the Resurrection of Jesus. It is the central mystery of the Christian faith. The Good News that we proclaim focuses on a fundamental fact:
JESUS HAS RISEN.
This is evidenced in the writings of the apostle Paul to the faithful of Corinth who had doubts about the reality of the Resurrection. With great sincerity he says: "And if Christ did not rise, then our preaching is vain and our faith also vain, and with this we become false witnesses of God and some deceivers ... "(ICor.15: 14-15). It is not about Jesus being "resurrected in the faith" of his disciples, or "in his memory" that would have provoked in them the conviction that he was still present. It is the other way around: it was the encounter with the risen Jesus that aroused in his disciples and disciples faith in the Resurrection.
In the Letter to the Romans, Paul writes: "If your lips profess that Jesus is the Lord and your heart believes that God raised him, you will be saved." Therefore, the resurrection not only has consequences for the person of Jesus, but has consequences for us, who are his family community and for our people.
The resurrection of Jesus creates in us a new humanity, a transformation on the horizon of our lives. The encounter with Him makes the existence of every woman, man, adult or young, child or old, take on new courage and bravery, especially when we gather for the breaking of bread.
The risen Jesus summons those who had dispersed to establish his family, the Church. This is the community of those who open their lives to the Good News of the Resurrection and in which they share and enliven the experience of the Risen One.
When we come together as family community we are called to enliven this truth, both within the family, and to proclaim it to the community of surrounding people. The moment in which we live is full of complexities and uncertainty. As increasingly adverse situations become reality, the greater the anxiety, the greater the despair and vulnerability in the lives of people, and the greater the risk for our younger generations.
We are called to enliven our prayer to God, to offer our hands and gifts in loving service. To internalize in the Scriptures so that they illuminate the way before the reality of today. To celebrate the Eucharist, deepening our encounter with the Risen One, and providing for others and others to experience the presence of Jesus in their lives. Proclaiming without ceasing so that, in the face of so much restlessness and confusion, they will find the way to the truth that God has granted to all human beings for his immense love:
JESUS LIVES, JESUS HAS RISEN, DEATH AND EVIL HAVE BEEN CONQUERED!
JESUS LIVES, THAT'S WHY WE HAVE A NEW HORIZON OF FULL LIFE

MENSAJE DE PASCUA A LA FAMILIA DIOCESANA,ABRIL 2019
La verdad que nos aprestamos a proclamar, es la Resurrección de Jesús. Es el misterio central de la fe cristiana. La Buena Noticia que proclamamos se concentra en un hecho fundamental:
JESUS HA RESUCITADO.
Esta centralidad se evidencia en los escritos del apóstol Pablo a los fieles de Corinto que albergaban dudas sobre la realidad de la Resurrección, con gran sinceridad les dice: “Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación y vana también nuestra fe, y con esto pasamos a ser falsos testigos de Dios y unos embusteros…” (ICor.15:14-15).
No se trata de que Jesús “resucitó en la fe” de sus discípulos, o “en su recuerdo” que habría provocado en ellos la convicción de que seguía presente. Es al revés: fue el encuentro con Jesús resucitado lo que suscitó en sus discípulas y discípulos la fe en la Resurrección.
En la Carta a los Romanos, Pablo escribe: “Si tus labios profesan que Jesús es el Señor y tu corazón cree que Dios lo resucitó, te salvaras”. Por lo tanto, la resurrección no solo tiene consecuencias para la persona de Jesús, sino que tiene consecuencias para nosotros, que somos su familia-comunidad y para nuestro pueblo.
La resurrección de Jesús crea en nosotros una nueva humanidad, una transformación en el horizonte de nuestras vidas. El encuentro con El hace que la existencia de cada mujer, hombre, adulto o joven, niño o anciano, cobre un nuevo brío y valentía, especialmente cuando nos reunimos para la fracción del pan.
Jesús resucitado convoca a aquellos que se habían dispersado para establecer su familia, la Iglesia. Es ésta la comunidad de los que abren sus vidas a la Buena Noticia de la Resurrección y en la que comparten y avivan la experiencia del Resucitado.
Cuando nos reunimos como familia-comunidad estamos llamados a avivar esta verdad, tanto hacia dentro de la familia, como proclamarla hacia la comunidad del pueblo alrededor. El momento en el que vivimos está lleno de complejidades e incertidumbre. Situaciones cada vez mas adversas se hacen realidad en el contexto, cuanto mayor es la zozobra, mayor es la desesperanza y la vulnerabilidad en la vida de las personas, y mayor el riesgo para nuestras generaciones mas jóvenes.
Estamos llamados a avivar nuestra oración a Dios, a ofrecer nuestras manos y dones en servicio amoroso. A interiorizar en las Escrituras para que nos iluminen el camino ante la realidad de hoy. A celebrar la Eucaristía, profundizando nuestro encuentro con el Resucitado, y proveyendo para que otras y otros experimenten la presencia de Jesús en sus vidas. Proclamando sin cesar para que, ante tanto desasosiego y confusión, encuentren el camino hacia la verdad que Dios nos ha otorgado a todos los seres humanos por su inmenso amor:
¡ JESUS VIVE, JESUS HA RESUCITADO, HA VENCIDO LA MUERTE Y EL MAL,
JESUS VIVE, POR ESO TENEMOS UN NUEVO HORIZONTE DE VIDA PLENA !
