The week of October 16th was an action packed week for Bishop Griselda in the Northeast - In addition to the wonderful celebration of her Honorary Doctorate from Berkeley Divinity at Yale (photo above), Bishop Griselda had the opportunity to meet with a few new groups to spread her mission and vision.
The Church of Heavenly Rest, New York hosted an intimate dinner with a group of their parishioners who share an interest in Cuba. We are hopeful that a future relationship will develop.
On Wednesday, October 18, Bishop Griselda concelebrated a bilingual Eucharist service with Bishop Wolfe at St. Bart's Church on Park Ave. Following the service, she spoke to over 85 members of the Church Club of New York. A wine and cheese reception followed giving the club members opportunity to speak one on one with the Bishop. She was particularly honored to have both Bishop Wolfe and Bishop Dietsche introduce her for this special event (see article and photo below or at page 37 of this link).
And on Friday evening, Bishop Griselda was the guest and speaker at a Cuban Celebration Dinner at St. Thomas Church in White Marsh, PA, organized by Pastor Rev. Marek Zabriske. About 200 people attended from the suburban Philadelphia area, many of who will be traveling to Cuba in February 2018 on a trip organized by Rev. Zabriske.
Thank you to all who helped organize this successful and productive visit for Bishop Griselda.
