Hurricane Support for Cuba Urgently Needed

September 25, 2017

Irma – the category-5 hurricane that skirted along the northern coast of Cuba– decimated the homes and villages of many Cubans who were already struggling to meet basic needs.

At present, there is doubt that the government will be able to meet the needs of the people in repairing hurricane damage, due to the combination of widespread damage and the chronically limited and unpredictable supply of basic materials within the country.

We are able to help them to begin to repair their lives with the purchase of at least some basic materials and other necessities.  Please see the below video message from Rev. Halbert of the Church of San Lucas, Santiago de Cuba, as well as recent posts on our blog regarding storm damagerecent news reports, and a pastoral message from The Rt. Rev. Griselda Delgado del Carpio
